Not exactly what you were looking for, but my 95 towncar trans went out about 2 years ago...trouble with shifting to 2nd, would rev high in 1st then go straight to 3rd.
I had it completely rebuilt and upgraded to using a more reliable sprag gear for 2nd...to the tune of just under $2000.
The trans was then better than new, with improved shifting and more power/acceleration.
Drop the transmission oil pan
$2000
It really depends but labor should be anywhere from $55-$85 an hour. The best you could do is call Nissan and ask them their rates and how long it would take.
I fully rebuilt transmission, parts and labor will run you around $3000.
I would say no. NO I paid $420 for a used trans plus labor to install that was with a one year wart. I got it frof Don's auto parts From NY. Its on the internet.

The plug is on the bottom of the oil pan in front of the transmission pan
The transmission in the 1995 Chevy 1500 is the 4L60E Transmission.
More than likely yes it will fit.
Purchase the cooler of your choice. They come with complete instructions. Very easy job, and this would be a good time to change your transmission fluid.
