Yes thay all have a transmission cooler built into the radiator, If you follow the 2 transmission lines that come from the side of the transmission up towards the front of the truck, you will see were thay hook to the cooler. Some had a second transmission cooler in front of the radiator if the truck came with a heavy duty tow package

YES, It is probley built into the radiator. Just follow the 2 medal lines that come from the transmission and go up to the front of the truck and see were they hook too.
Look in the yellow pages under "Transmission Parts". Go to them and buy the proper cooler. They will show you the proper way to install the cooler. Do NOT use an auto parts store. (The top line is from the trans. to the rad., the bottom line is the return. Fluid flows downward in the radiator.)
Is the transmission cooler fins clean and free of debris. Are you towing a heavy load? If so, I recommend you install a aftermarket transmission cooler. If it is getting hot and you are not towing, you need to seek out a professional to find out why it is getting hot. Do not continue to drive this vehicle or you will be spending big bucks for a new transmission. Heat is the biggest enemy of a transmission.
Pulling a heavy load will cause it to overheat. I suggest you have the fluid and filter changed and then install a transmission cooler. Very inexpensive and it will help when towing. Also check the cooling fins on the factory transmission cooler and make sure they are no clogged with debris.
If there are lines coming from the transmission to the radiator, it has a cooler in the radiator. If there are lines from the transmission to an external heat exchanger, that would be an auxiliary cooler.
