The largest you can put on are 33s without any rubbing and cutting the bumper and/or the fenders. I also have a 95 bronco with a 6inch lift n a 3inch body lift n put 39.5s super swampers but I custom built a big winch bumper so I could fit those bad boys without any rub I also cut the fenders n put bushwhacker fender flares on it and my baby owns the trails and mud pits. But if u want bigger then 33s then I suggest getting a 3inch body lift so you won't have to cut the bumper and fenders.
My friend put 33s on his 91 pick up but didn't have the same turn radius so i would put 31s with no lift ( i have a 89 with a 6 inch lift on 37s)
The slip yoke on the Ford Bronco is located on the rear axle rather than on the transfer case. This is the portion of the axle that allows it to flex.
i would say 35 in tires would look great
An 80 - 86 Full Sized Bronco can fit up to 33" tires without a lift, but if the rims have a lot of backspacing, they can rub on the radius arms. Anything over 33" will require a lift. Larger tires WILL fit without a lift, but not without rubbing, or possible damage when going over large bumps or off-road. 87+ Broncos had sheet metal changes to the body design (such as smaller wheel wells) that limit them to 32" without a lift.
== == u need to lift the license plate up
I put 31" swampers on my 88 Bronco. Rubbed a little bit though. You'll fit bigger ones if you lift it a few inches. 2" lift will fit 33's, 8" 39.5's Good luck.
I would say NO !
I gather you have a total of 8-9" lift, correct? You can fit a 37" without rubbing issues and possibly 38-40" depending on backspacing of wheels and tire width
I don't think so. I have a 1996 Bronco - and brought the truck to a discount tire place asking the same question - I wanted the biggest tire I could w/out rubbing issues, etc. We sized it up with a bunch of different sizes/brands. 32' x 11.50 R15 was the largest size the stock bronco could take. Kindof an oddball size, but BFG makes them (All Terrain Radials), and they look and drive great - first set lasted me 6 years.... tons of highway driving, good bit offroad.
I have a 94 with a 351. Before I lifted it and put larger than stock tires on it, it got around 16 or 17 mpg. With a 3 inch body lift and 33x14 pro comp x terrains, it now gets about 10 or 12.
you can easily go with a 30 inch truck tire, 31 would be pushing it without a lift.
You need to first swing the spare tire out of the way, roll the window all the way down then just lift the handle that is on the inside.
