Hello: I am doing a overhaul on my 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. I inadvertently moved the crankcase while trying to remove the small timing belt while the larger timing belt was off. Knowing that, I would like to know is there a procedure to follow to correct this?
Both the 2.4 liter 4 cylinder and the 3.0 liter V6 engines use a timing BELT
could be the timing belt
timing belt1 silent shaft belt2(behind the timing belt) accesory belt alternator3 powersteering a/c4
it is the belt by the alternator belt
The water pump is located in the shroud that houses the timing belt. This is why the pump is changed when you get a new timing chain.
Assuming you have the 2.5 engine, the water pump is driven off the timing belt.
