Distributor is on top of the engine in the back on all traditional Pontiac V8s, behind the carburetor. Follow the spark plug wires.
I own a '97 Pontiac grand am where would i find the spark plugs so i can change them?
At spark plug location number 1. Number 1 plug is on the drivers side front of engine.
The distributor cap is located on the top of the distributor on a 1996 Sunfire. It is connected to the spark plugs via a wire.
The metal end should point to the #1 plug location on the distributor.
no comment i just need the answer where is the number one spark plug on the 307 distributor cap
It does not have a distributor, modern engines have coil packs controlled by a computer. Follow the spark plug wires to the common location
Driver's side head front to rear is....1-3-5-7 They usually come from the factory with the number 1 wire going on the distributor tower that points in the direction of the number 1 spark plug.
You will have no spark from the distributor. You will have no spark from the distributor.
rotor should point at number 1 plug lead when engine is at tdc make a mark with whiteout ,on outside of distributor before you remove distributor cap. make this mark where the #1 spark plug lead would be if distributor cap was on distributor when you remove cap this is where rotor needs to be pointing
It "tells" the computer the rational location of the distributor for spark timing.
on the distributor under the cap with two female connectors in it.
