I am not that familiar with this particular product, however having seen you question I have done some investigation and the product looks very promising. Quartz itself is very durable and should stand up to pool chemistry very nicely. However like any pool surface how long the product will last will depend on how well you maintain the water balance. Many people over look the need to maintain the overall water balance, which includes the total alkalinity and most importantly in this case calcium hardness. Failure to maintain the mineral levels in the pool will cause the surface of the pool to fail and void any warranties the manufacture or builder offers. Here is a link to the 3M web site that will give you more information about their ColorQuartz Ceramic-coated Crystals http://www.3m.com/pools Good luck and I hope you enjoy your new pool! How much to quartzon a 140m2 pool?

One bag of Quartzon material will cover 1m2. So if your pool is 10 metres long X 5 metres wide and an average of 1.5 metres deep then the amount of Quartzon would be calculated as follows.First add the two long walls, then the 2 short walls X the average depth. Then times the length by the breadth to give you the total m2.10+10+5+5 = 30 linear metres30 metres X 1.5=45 m2 for the walls10 X 5m = 50m2 for the floorTotal m2 = 95 bags or 95m2.

How can non algal copper green stain spots be removed from a Quartzon pool surface which appear to be degrading the surface?

Sounds like you have been using too much acid. The pool surface is not the only place that is degrading. Every surface the water had come in contact with is damaged - especially the pool heater. The water is or has been extremely acidic. Good luck here.

Is soft water from a home softener system ok to feed the pool auto leveler?

I would only connect the soft water to the auto-fill if you are having a problem with the pool water being 'too hard'. If you do not have hard water in the pool, there is no advantage in using soft-water for topup. You can use the soft water BUT you MUST maintain the correct level of calcium hardness in the pool water (200-275ppm is good). If the calcium hardness falls too low other problems can occur, including damage to plaster walls.
