"But gracious and sweet it is to be queen of the cat" .The lady in this poem is a poor person who lives in the slum and wears the bedraggled bonnet and clothing but she is the queen in those cats' mind. In the poem, Douglas have described about Domain and Moreton Bays where is a part of Australia, it supported us to be aware that they lived in Australia and the behaviors from the lady who has bad condition as a poor person but still treat well on others, especially the wild cats.
