In others it could be until they have met certain requirements and apply for reinstatement. They will tell you if you qualify for an equivalent degree from their university. If you don't, then you will have to attend classes to get the degree finished here. If it is something like a medical degree I do believe that the American Medical Association has a section that can analyze your credentials or the medical board of your area can also do that, but you may still have to start at the university/medical school level.
