This collection of books is called the Apocrypha by most Protestants and Deuterocanonical by Catholics and Eastern Orthodox.

Actually there are 12 books in the Douay Rheims Catholic Bible and the King James 1611 versions which are which are not in the King James Version after the 'Protestant Reformation'. A movement started by protesting Catholics thus the name 'protestant'. The movement was lead by Martin Luther in 1517 and ended in 1648 with the Treaty of Westphalia.

These books include:

  • 1 and 2 Esdras
  • Tolbit
  • Judith
  • 1,2,3,4 Macabbees
  • Prayer of Manasseh
  • Wisdom of Solomon
  • Sirach
  • Baruch

There is also some evidence that there may have been more books that were excluded from the Douay Rheims, scrolls stolen and hidden by Rome after the ransacking of Jerusalem and destruction of the Temple [66 AD - 70 AD].
