In the digestive system, the large intestine forms the last part. It comprises of the cecum, colon and rectum as its three major segments.
The ileum is the longest part in the small intestine. It has a length of around 2-4m. It is the last section in the small intestine.
The small intestine- duodenum, jejuneum, and ileum.
The small intestine is about 6-7 meters long. The first portion is called the duodenum and is about 20-25 cm long. There are 4 parts to the duodenum: (1) superior portion, (2) descending poriton, (3) inferior protion, (4) ascending poriton. The second protion is called the Jejunum and the proximal 2/5 of the small intestine (excluding the duodenum). The last portion is called the Ileum and composes the distal 3/5 of the small intestine.
The three parts of the small intestine are:duodenum- which is the first part of the small intestine where food is being completed with chemical breakdown.jejunum- which is the middle part of the small intestine - specializes in absorbing all the nutrients (except fat) into the body.ileum- which is the last part where the small intestine meets the large intestine... also where alot of bacteria sits and eats on the undigested food.
The last place for your digestion is your large intestine (also known as your colon) followed by your small intestine.
Small Intestine.
The last section of the small intestine is the ileum.
The Ileum! The jejunum is before the ileum, & the cecum is after the ileum.
