The natural state according to The Bible means, "under the guidance of nature". Fallen man, or any person who was born since the fall in the Garden of Eden were born in the natural state, meaning their spirit was dead. They have a soul, emotions, but their spirit is not alive. They are at enmity with God (they hate God). Read Romans 1:18:-32.
Down through the ages God had pity on some men and they found God's grace unto salvation. Also God chose the nation of Israel to bring forth the Messiah. Some of these Jews found God's grace.
When the Messiah (Jesus Christ) came to earth it was for one purpose and that was to die, be buried, and be resurrected the third day so that men (Persons) could be reconciled back to God, or be "Born again" and have their spirit quickened (made alive).
The bible makes reference several times to the natural state, one such is I Corinthians 2:14, " But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them because they are spiritually discerned".
When a person is born again God gives that person the Holy Spirit and it is the Holy Spirit that gives those who believe the capacity to discern divine truth.
Unbeliever's or those in the natural state do not have this capacity and many think they know the truth, but they really have no idea what the bible really teaches.
The only way man can be given eternal life is to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (Be Born Again).

∙ 15y agoNatural state is the state of the world as you experience it. You can decide to change the way you experience thing but they would still be nature as you are merely experiencing it differently. Eg. when you take drugs/alcohol or strongly believe in something that influences your actions.
