in 1970-1973 Ford introduced the 4 barral carb 351 Cleveland with a horsepower rating of 300
70 nova's never had a 454 in them and the horsepower rating would have to be assessed from the year the engine is and if anything has been done to the engine other than being stock.
I think it s about 230, I know my 1970 has 250 and it s a 350-2 barl.
Depends on the engine
Around 365 gross hp
1970=360 bhp (factory rating, realistically more like 420hp for the Stage 1) 1976=205 bhp :(
the 70 engine came in a couple of different horsepower ratings and had higher compression ratios than the 73 model 350 and the 350 of 73 only came in one horsepower rating and was smogged down with emission controls.
105 hp.
The 1970 engine had higher compression, but the big difference is in the way horsepower was calculated. In actuality, the 1970 was only a little more powerful than the 1977.
How much horsepower does a 5.7 litre 350 cubic inch engine in a 1970 Monte Carlo have? ======================================================== My Chilton book shows : 350 cubic inch / 2 barrel carb / 250 horsepower 350 cubic inch / 4 barrel carb / 300 horsepower
Its 1,500cc (91 cid) engine produces 69 HP.
an average 350 Chevy has between 160 and 180 horsepower
1970 - 1973. 200 HP.
