That would have been George III. He was king from 1760 to 1820 (longer than any previous British monarch, though he's since been surpassed by Victoria and recently by Elizabeth II). The last 9 years or so of that time he was increasingly mentally ill, and his son George Augustus Frederick ruled as Prince Regent from 1811 until formally taking the throne as George IV upon his father's death.
