Sender Ohm Range
Perhaps there is an insufficient gas level in the tank?
Pump, filter, and level sending unit are one part, yes.
The fuel level gauge is in the tank
The only float on an 89 Jeep is for the fuel level, and its in the fuel tank, attached to the fuel pump.
FUEL GAUGE IS WRONG
I own a 99 Jeep wrangler. the only thing I can think of is the fuel pump or filter. Which is located in the tank find a gauge to check the fuel pressure on the fuel rail
either that or the gauge, wiring or a connector.
fuel level sending unit is the unit that sends message from fuel tank to fuel gauge, telling you how much fuel is in tank
check for broken wire from fuel sender unit in fuel tank to gauge. check fuel sender unit for proper operation. float may be stuck in the tank then check fuel gauge
The reason for the failure could be a failure in the connection or the gauge itself. Alternatively, the temperature sensor could have failed.
The arrow is there to show the level of petrol or diesel that is in the vehicle's fuel tank.
You must have a 1998 or newer truck. There is no FUSE for the fuel level gauge. Now there is a fuel leveling sensor on the sending unit that is inside of the fuel tank and that is what controls your fuel gauge. It is common for the sensor to get coated with suffler that is in today's fuels / Gas. You will have to remove the FUEL LEVELING SENSOR That's in the fuel tank and REPLACE it with a new one from the Chevy dealer.
