The ottoman emprie achievements are but not limited to:
1. Extended the Islamic empire/land thus more people embraced Islam
2. Preserved the Islamic heritage, teachings and traditions
3. United the Muslim nations under one strong regime/flag
4. Delayed the disintegration of the Muslim land; for example, as soon as the ottoman empire fell down, the Muslims divided among themselfes and started to formulate their own independent states/countries
5. Resisted and postponed the western colonization of the Muslim world
6. Served and preserved the 3 sacared Muslim places namely Makkah, Madinah (city of the prophet Mohammad, and Jerusalem)
7. Protected Palestine against the zionist conspiracy from becoming the homeland for the Jews
8. Introduced new techniques and sciences in the Islamic world
No religion "inspired" the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire had Sunni Islam as its State Religion, but it was not a view or tenet of Islam to create an Ottoman Empire.

As far as I am aware Islam does not have a single spiritual leader, in the same way that Christianity has the Pope. Until the end of the Ottoman Empire (1918) the sultan of the Ottoman Empire was the de facto spiritual leader of Islam.

Certain political and economic benefits were reserved for Muslim in the ottoman empire
