the fireing order is on the frunt of the intake manifold
you have to luck some booty ok be carful when you do it you might die its dangerous
Looking at the engine it is on the drivers side at about the 2nd plug wire.
start by removing one wire at a time. Replace it with the closest length matching wire. Do this one wire at a time. What ever you do, don't pull all the spark plug wires at once. You might not install the wires in the correct order. good luck.

no you can't wire it up and get it to run.
The ignition wire for the 2001 Ford Ranger is yellow. This is the 12 volt constant wire. Other wires in the harness are red and blue.
I'd replace the wires on at a time. I have a special plug wire puller pliers that helps to avoid breaking the wires if you can't get them off the sparks plug.
If the engine in the Ford Tempo is a 2.3 liter engine, the wire order is 1-3-4-2. If the engine is a 3.0 liter engine, the wire order is 1-4-2-5-3-6.
