the hydrogen pump may not be functioning properly.
I'm not really sure I quite understand your question But - A battery is in itself an energy source, which stores electrical energy in chemical form, to be discharged as ionised molecules move to the anode, creating a current within the circuit.
When they are the coldest that they can be is when they have the least energy. Absolute Zero is when molecules have no energy and are not moving, but it is impossible to get to that degree.

Yes, molecules have potential energy stored in their chemical bonds.
The particles' movements slow down. Particles (or atoms) contain energy; the more energy the particles have, the more the particles move. However, there is a certain level of energy at which the bonds between the particles break; this energy is called bond energy. For example, take a boiling pot of water. At the atomic level view, heat is equal to energy; the heat is transferred from the flame to the H2O molecules, giving them more energy and making them move faster. The the H2O molecules break apart, turning to hydrogen and oxygen gas. In an ice cube, the heat/energy is taken from the H2O molecules, slowing them down and creating a packed solid.
mitochondrion
prokaryotic cells
The mitochondria release energy from nutrient molecules and transform the energy into a usable form. They are one of the most important organelle in the cell.
The mitochondria releases energy from food molecules. This is where all things are broken down and turned into energy for the cell.
Mitochondria.
The electron transport chain is a series of special molecules in the mitochondrion that receives the high-energy electrons from the carriers.
Plants use light energy to produce food molecules during photosynthesis, and obtain cellular energy from the bonds of these food molecules during cellular respiration.
ATP molecules.
Mitochondria are the organelles responsible for metabolizing food molecules and storing the energy given off by converting ADP to ATP, the universal energy vehicle of living things. ADP (Adenosine DiPhosphate) ATP (Adenosine TriPhosphate)
Energy makes molecules rapidly move faster and faster, and when you make molecules move faster you are creating heat. So by using electricity(energy), you speed up the molecules of water, thus creating heat.
