more likely a bad connector plug somewhere could be the ecu connector
Braking is used to bring the motor to stop quickly or instantly. Braking can be two way broadly. One is mechanical braking. Other method is electrical braking. One of the electrical braking is dynamic braking.
Mainly 2 types of braking are used: rheostatic braking and regenerative braking

KISS Answer: An electrical motor converts electric energy by using electrical energy from the battery to mechanical energy by coursing the electricity through coils of wires that are in a magnetic field. The negative charge of the battery is repulsed by a positive charge created by magnets in the motor. This causes the motor to rotate, and mechanical gears and such rotate the axle which drives the wheel. Eventually the battery will expel all its electrical energy by this process. The regenerative braking reverses some of this action by creating an electrical current from the mechanical action of the wheels. The charge of electricity is produced by rotating a set of wires within the magnetic field. The energy source is created by the resistance of the wires rotating within the magnetic field. So the kinetic energy of the wheels is used to create electrical energy which is stored in the battery. You can't get something out of nothing, so the conversion of the mechanical energy to electrical energy causes the motor to slow down, and the cart to brake.ELECTRICAL ENERGY (BATTERY) > MOTOR = INCREASED MOTION (DEPLETING BATTERY)KINETIC ENERGY (MOVING CART) > BATTERY = DECREASED MOTION (CHARGING BATTERY)
There are three type of electrical brakes that can be applied to motors. Regenerative Plugging in Dynamic "control braking" does not mean a correct description. Dynamic braking is better.
my dash lights blink and dim when braking/found t this was a ticoverter that rusted
when you stop and when the braking of the car causes the battery to recharge
It may be the battery, if the car is running the alternator should still be good. The battery may not be holding charge and supplying your car with reserve power. I would take you car to the autoparts store and have them test the electrical system. They will do this for free and tell you if the alternator and or battery is bad.
It's alternator time.
In a dc motor, when the supply is suddenly turned off, there is a suddenly fall of speed in motor. this is reduced by means of electric effect. Hence it is called electric braking ( By @FarajAlyami electric motor braking has two types 1- electromechanical 2- electrical but electrical has some types as : 1- regenerative 2- dynamice 3- plugging ( counter - current )
1) Loose wire in your electrical system that reconnects when you apply the breaks. 2) Old battery. 3) Car design. If it's a new car, they may litterally have designed it that way to allow you to see the road better at night. There may be a way to correct this; check the owners manual.
Yes. Energy generated during regenerative braking recharges the traction battery and is later used to power the car. The Prius also has friction brakes (disk/drum), which are used at very low speeds or for hard braking. And it's braking, not breaking.
