Explain adjusting pull type clutch on Montero
A Saturn clutch is self adjusting. It's a hydraulic system and if the clutch is not adjusting properly it indicates that there is something wrong with the clutch mechanism, either clutch disk, pressure plate or hydraulic components.
It is a hydrolic clutch does not need adjusting
it is a cable clutch.
Installing a new clutch is a complicated procedure best left to a trained mechanic. One needs to remove the axle and other components of the system from under the car, remove the old clutch, and attach the new one to the axle.
It should be self adjusting. If its slipping then your clutch may be worn. Or if it has other symptoms, there could be a different problem. It says the clutch system is self adjusting in my manual.
No, the hydraulic system is self adjusting.
The clutch is auto adjusting hydraulic system :-)
The clutch slave cylinder in your 1998 Mitsubishi does not use fluid. The clutch slave cylinder is sealed with grease inside of it.
it is most likely a self adjusting cable. if you look near the clutch itself, it there are two nuts on the cable, then you can adjust it there. if there is a black cylcinder at the clutch side of the cable then this is self adjusting.
Its a hydraulic operated clutch, so its auto adjusting. No manual adjustment. If the clutch is slipping, you need a new clutch plate.
