It goes into the water pump. You remove a plug and screw in the block heater. Between the engine and the firewall. You can get at it from underneath.
the proper place for a heater would be under a window or where the area is cold.
This is a big job get a manual on your car from the parts store and it will give you tHe propeR steps to change it.
Pretty much behind the radio, but all the way to the firewall. Impossible to replace the heater core without destroying something without a proper instructional.
