Each car has a unique radio code. In the manual there is a perforated card that has the number. If you have the booklet check in there. I bought mine used and the card w/ number was still in there, fortunately.

∙ 14y agoYou have to take it to the dealer and they should be able to help you, in most cases the stereo has to be removed to get a code off of it. other than that pick up a new one from wal-mart, probley cheaper and easier

As far as I know you must have the Vin number and the radio serial number. Both of these numbers have to be submitted by an authorized VW dealer through VW Hub to get a theft code.
