Call any official "Volvo" dealership with the VIN of the car.... the radio came from....Most important. They can pull from the data base from Volvo using the last 4-6 numbers of the VIN to get a four digit security number which you enter on the radio keypad and wahla music!! Note: When Pulling a radio from the junkyard don't forget the VIN from that junker or you wasted you time!
You need to go to your local Volvo dealer to get the radio codes. Just unplug the entire radio/cd or cassette player and take it into the dealer. They can look up the radio id #'s and give you the unlock code

On my 1994 Volvo 940 Station wagon there are two. My 2.3 is a turbo model, and was told they installed two, one in the tank, accessible behind and under the rear bench seat, and the other mid body next to the fuel filter.
