What is the rank in size among all the fifty states?
Alaska ranks number one as the largest in area and Rhode Island is number 50 as the smallest. In following order are Texas, California, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and Colorado which all contain more then 100,000 square miles of area. At the ninth position is Wyoming followed by Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota all with more then 75,000 square miles in area. The rest are all slightly smaller, but are still much larger then Rhode Island.
