Hi, basically its been faulty for a while and ive just put it off. how it happened was that my needed to be jump started but after that the radio simply didnt work anymore, normally i would have to put a code in but nothing comes up atall, only the date and time. i have checked the fuses but they are seem fine and i cant think what else it could be. any ideas? thanks Well either the jump start has knacked your radio (if so unlucky) or the battery has died and it should prompt you for a code when Going again. I would like you check the power. give the age of the Corsa (same as mine) I would check that there is power to the radio. there is no guarantee that someone hasn't used another way of getting power to the radio if it has been upgraded and didn't want to pay for the adapter plug. So I would remove ther radio to get access to the Multiplug at the back undo it and check for power with a mulitmeter. if there is power then I think your radios broken. maybe worth a trip down to your local scrapyard and pick up a good one just went to one near me yeaterday and there were 20-30 radios CD etc on his shelf. if there is no power then you have to check out your fuses making sure you've checked the right one! easily done. if no power try a live feed from the battery to check . on the back of the radio
By pressing the on/off switch.
To manually tune the radio in an Opel Corsa you need to turn off RDS. When RDS is on the car will cycle through the radio stations that are available.
This is because you have fitted a new radio to your car which is not the same as vauxhall fitted at new. The vauxhall radio and clock on your corsa are connected by a wire which i belive is gray/red, Which when the radio is switched on the date will go off on your clock and be replaced with the radio station, But your new radio does not have this function, So the date will go off leaving the screen blank, I belive cutting the gray/red wire will stop the date from going off, Not 100% sure, Try it if date still goes off just reconnect wire. GOOD LUCK
remove radio out vauxhall vectra
what is the radio fuse number on a vauxhall zafira 2001.thanks
using the numbers on your radio, press 3693 if that is the code
go to your nearest Vauxhall company and get a code they'll give you to type into the radio bit. most places can do this for free.
Initially, remove the battery earth lead for a minute, have your radio code ready to reset the radio. If this doesn't work you may need a garage to reset with a diagnostic computer,or confirm a faulty sensor.
radio says safe but cant put the code in
Faulty ground or faulty antenna.
I think it might be the OBD (Diagnosis) Port.
