Spices changed the course of Indian history when Mughals invaded India, they started trading of spices. There were many wars among the rulers in history for the domination over spice trade. In olden days, paan was used as an ayurvedic medicine which helps in the increase of saliva and aids digestion. Apart from food, spices were used in medicine, preservation and even in warding of evil spirits.

As our current topic is about usage of spices in Indian cuisine, so let’s have some discussion here regarding it!

Indian Food is famous across all the countries for its finger licking taste. The secret behind the aroma and taste of Indian dishes are spices. India is the one largest producer and user of spices and hence known as “Land of spices”. Other than adding taste to dishes, some spices have also been used in medicines since ancient times. While some others are used in preservatives too. Every spice has their part and own flavor in the taste of curry. We import spices from Gujarat, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala as these are the biggest hubs of spices produced in India. We personally take care of the hygiene and quality of spices.
