I know the 1998 to 2002 camaro z28, ss have same ls1 engine as the corvette ls1. Only differets is horsepower. A pc program can change the horsepower to both camaro and corvette

A 97 Camaro came with an LT1 not LS1. Its fuel pump relay would be behind the kick panel on the driver side below the dash.

yes you can but if you can put an ls1 why not put an LS2? get close to 500 horse power... if you can afford it

on the LT1 model, it is the large gold piece with the electrical connector plugged into it near the oil filter. screwed right into the pan. I would think it might be the same on the LS1.

Not electronic. But mechanical yes. NOTE: a 1996 camaro has the LT1. A 1998 Camaro has the LS1. A lot of things are different.

Well depends on how much work you want to do. The engine will fit but the mounting locations are different because 98 was the first year of the LS1 in the Camaro. If you mean the LS1 equipped Z28 and a LS1 equipped SS...: The LS1 SS cars(98-02) had a different hood, spoiler and a few upgrades from SLP like shocks/struts, exhaust a few other little things. The biggest difference is the hood and spoiler

there is no such thing as a 1994 ls1. the ls1 didnt come out until 1998. in 1994 they had the LT1 which would have had 240 crank hp The LS1 motor actually first came out in 1997 for the C5 Corvette. The 1994 F-bodies with the LT1 were rated at 275hp at the flywheel.

LT1 has a Opti-Spark distributor, whereas the LS1 is distributor less and has individual coils among other upgrades. Not to mention the cylinder heads on an LS1 were touched by God.

Do you have a check engine code? Have you had it tuned? Sounds like the idle is off, but need more information.

The LS1 and LT1 designations are for the engine not the transmission. A 1993 Camaro Z28 would have originally been fitted with an LT1 engine. Available transmissions behind the LT1 would have been the Borg Warner T-56 (manual), or the 4L60E (automatic).
