According to one of the Ford websites , for a 1989 Ford Festiva , 1.3 liter / 81 cubic inch four cylinder engine : ( the spark plug gap is .044 inch )
My Chilton book shows ( .040 inch ) spark plug gap for a 1990 Ford Festiva 1.3 liter / 81 cubic inch 4 cylinder engine
its the one closest to passenger side
According to my Chilton's book : The spark plug firing order for the 1.3 liter / 81 cubic inch four cylinder engine in a 1990 Ford Festiva is : ( 1 - 3 - 4 - 2 ) The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE
According to fordparts.com the 1992 Ford Festiva with the 1.3 liter four cylinder engine has spark plugs gapped at ( .044 inch )
www . motorcraft . com ( no spaces - one of Ford's websites ) shows the firing order for the 1988 ( and each year ) Ford Festiva - 1.3 L - 4 cylinder as ( 1 - 4 - 3 - 2 ) but , My large Chilton repair manual for a variety of vehicles , about . com , autozone . com , and another website each has ( 1 - 3 - 4 - 2 ) as the firing order They are in agreement that the distributor rotor turns counterclockwise and that the # 1 cylinder faces the right side of the Festiva .

1998 ford escort spark plug order on engine from left to right? Like if I looking at the engine what #spark plug is the one on the left to the right? and which on should they go to on the ignition pack? Thanks in advance
1 - 3 - 4 - 2 is the firing order The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE The # 1 position on the distributor cap faces TOWARDS the engine The engine cylinders / spark plug locations are numbered : 1-----2-----3-----4 front of Ford Festiva ( according to my Chilton book / about.com / autozone.com / and Ford forums ) ( I checked a few places because motorcraft.com showed 1 - 4 - 3 - 2 as the firing order and it didn't seem right so I figured it must be a typing error )
for what size of engine ?
I have a problem to change a spark plug.
The spark plugs on a Ford Explorer are replaced by first disconnecting the battery. Remove the spark plug using a spark plug socket. Replace with the factory recommended spark plug.
