A bad fuel line can cause a 98 Toyota Camry to stall during acceleration. This happens when the line can not get proper fuel to the engine.
fuel filter
overheating
Bad fuel pump will cause the engine to stall or not start at all. A bad automatic transmission will cause the vehicle to jerk and not run smoothly.
The most common problem with a 94 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder is the fuel pump not properly working. This causes the fuel to stop at certain points and makes the engine stall.
I was having the same trouble with my '89 Camry, try switching out your distributer cap and rotor, also check out your spark plugs AND wires. I replaced all of the above listed and have'nt had any trouble since. Good luck!
The real problem is manually shifting from gear to gear with an automatic transmission. If you are referring to the automatic upshift, there may be a problem with the EGR system or vacuum system.
if it is automatic then this would be caused by shift down is not working in transmission
Check the fuel filter, it might be clogged.
If the vehicle has an automatic transmission, then the torque converter clutch is probably sticking. The clutch is controlled by a solenoid, that moves it back and fourth. The clutch material can get stuck to the inside of the converter and stall the engine. Have the transmission flushed, and if the problem persists, then have the solenoid replaced.
Most usual reason is the ignition module in the distributor, or it could be the float needle sticking if it is the carby model.
well it could be more than likely the flywheel is loose or warped check that first
