195 to 210 degrees is normal. NO hotter.
Normal operating range for most fuel injected engines is 195 to 220. This is an average. Call your dealer's service dept. for exact specs. Will depend on application, a motor-home it will be different from a pick up, will be different from a car, and so on.
Were is the temperature heat sensoe on a 454 chevy motor.
I would not worry to much about this noise when the motor is cold; engines have clearanaces that come together at operating temperature. If this noise happens when the motor is at operating temperature then you might have a problem.
The normal operating temperature for a 350 crate motor in a 1972 Chevy Blazer is averaged at a temperature of around 180 degrees and 190 degrees, apparently depending on the kind of thermostat one uses.
A 1967 Chevy Impala with a 283 motor should run at a temperature between 180 and 195 degrees. The temperature is set by the thermostat which controls coolant flow.
The Chevy SBC 5.7L 350cid V8 was the standard
Its usually around 185 to 195 Fahrenheit
Depending on the type of motor you have the temperature should be around 195 degrees.
195 to 210 is the best running temperature
Depends greatly on the make and model motor but is around 200 degrees.

When the line voltages of a polyphase motor induction motor are not equal, unbalanced currents in the stator windings will result. A small percentage voltage unbalance will result in a much larger percentage current unbalance. Consequently, the temperature rise of the motor operating at a particular load and percentage voltage unbalance will be greater than the motor operating under the same conditions with balanced voltages. NEMA Standards MG 1-1998, 12.46 recommends against operating a motor with a voltage unbalance greater than 1%. This will increase operating temperature, vibration, nuisance trips and failures.
