Animal cells don't have cell walls. Only plant cells do - they are rigid to help keep the shape of the cell. Both plant and animal cells have cell membranes which are flexible and are meant to regulate what goes into the cell.

What's the difference in ribosomes in animal cells and plant cells?

Plant cells have a rigid structure, while animal cells have a more flexible structure.Explanation...A plant cell contains a cell wall (made primarily of cellulose) which gives the cell a rigid structure. Animal cells do not contain cell walls, so they have a more flexible structuredefined by their underlying cytoskeleton. Both plant cells and animals divide. In both plant cells and animal cells, the DNA is stored in the nucleus.Plant cells carry out photosynthesis, while animal cells do not.------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do plant cells have cell wall but animal cells dot?

The cell wall is rigid (up to many micrometers in thickness) and gives plant cells a very defined shape. While most cells have a outer membrane, none is comparable in strength to the plant cell wall. The cell wall is the reason for the difference between plant and animal cell functions. Because the plant has evolved this rigid structure, they have lost the opportunity to develop nervous systems, immune systems, and most importantly, mobility.

Why do plants have cell wall and animal cell do not have?

Plants have a cell wall because they are rigid structures. Cell walls provide support and are made of cellulose, a substance that is harder than cell membrane. Animal cells do not have a cell wall because they need to be flexible and able to move.

Is the cell membrane hard or flexible?

The cell membrane moves in a fluid motion due to cholesterol lined between the phospholipids that make up the cell membrane. This allows for freer movement of the cell.

What is the difference between an animal cell and a plant cell?

An animal cell has no cell wall, but a plant cell has a cell wall.An animal cell has no chloroplast but plant cells do have it.An animal cell is not rigid and can change its shape, while a plant cell is rigid and has a fixed shape.

What if animal cell have cell wall?

it become rigid and hard

What does an plant cell have that an animal cell don't?

Animal cells lack rigid cell walls and chloroplasts.

Identify the structures that comprise an animal cell?

An animal cell's structure is flexiable while a plants cell's structure is rigid

Do blood cells have rigid cell walls?

No, Plants and bacteria have rigid cell walls. we humans have a membrane

Why do plant cells have rigid cells while animal cells don't have?

Presence of cell wall in plant cells make them rigid; animal cells are not rigid because these are without cell wall.

Which cell is more rigid plant or animal?

plant.

What does an animal cell have that plant cells don't?
