timing is 10 degree before TDC
The timing should be 8 degrees
timing is adjusted by the ignition module and feed back from sensors
Stock timing is 6 degrees before top dead center.
If your talking about an ls1 then no it does not unless it is a high performance timing chain then it could be double
In the carb right behind the fuel intake line
Should be 12 degrees before top dead center

it is a manual transmission
disconnect the tan wire connector on the passenger side wiring harness , that puts it in bypass mode, unlock dist. bolt and adjust timing. when set reconnect wiring connector.
12 degrees before top dead center vacuum advance disconnected and plugged emergency brake on wheels chocked transmission in drive with idle set at 500 rpm.
