'Henry Arms Co' was a trade name used by the HD Folsom Arms Co in the very late 1800's through about 1910 or so. HD Folsom was the largest firearm distributor at the time, and marketed guns to various hardware store and mail order catalog chains throughout the country. They imported a huge number of utility shotguns from Belgium and they had the manufacturer stamp some very interesting trade names on them to increase their marketability. "HENRY ARMS CO" is one of those trade names, no doubt intended to make propective customers think of the Henry rifle - absolutely no connection other than the similar name. It was actually made by F.Dumoulin & Co, in Belgium. Value on these shotguns are strictly as decoration. They are not considered to be safe to shoot. The barrel construction was never designed for smokeless powder and using ANY modern ammunition would be dangerous. We routinely see them selling in the $150-$200 range if complete.

This is a Auto-5 shotgun made by Fabrique Nationale in Belgium. This is a 12 guage shotgun made in 1930. The barrel should be stamped Browning Arms Co. Ogden Utah and or a combination of Ogden and St. Louis Mo. It will not have any scroll engraving on the receiver unless it is a gradeII or better. The standard grade was not engraved in that year.

In order to answer your question correctly,I would need the maker of the shotgun, shotgun model, and type of shotgun we are talking about(pump action, single shot,semi-auto etc.) I would also need to know what type of barrel you have(plain barrel, solid matte rib,or vent rib barrel).also include the overall condition of your shotgun and amount of blueing remaining on the receiver and barrel.

Your browning light 12 auto-5 shotgun which was made in 1967,is going for 650 dollars in 98% condition,if it has a vent rib barrel then your shotgun is worth 925 dollars in the condition you describe.
Your gun was made in 1929 in Belgium. The Browning Arms Co imported Auto 5 shotguns fron the Fabrique Nationale plant in Herstal Belgium. At that time their HQ was in Ogden Utah, where the Browning Brothers were in business. 1929 was the last full year with the Ogden Utah address. They moved their US headquarters to St. Louis in 1930. Your gun is likely a Grade I with no engraving. If it has scroll engraving on the receiver it is a GradeII. The barrel will tell you the choke designation guage and "special steel". It also says "made in belgium" on the barrel. auto5man
