Well, there are a couple of problems here. First, the value of ANY gun is based on the exact make, model and condition. You have given us NONE of the three things we need- and we do need all three. Second, the 22 LR cartridge was not created until 1887- so it is impossible to have a .22 LR firearm dated 1864. Please check ALL markings on the rifle, repost, and we WILL try to help you.
Not a good description. The .22 rimfire was not invented until 1856, so a rifle made in 1818 could not be.
50 USD
Somewhere between $30 and $3000. Everything depends on make, model, and condition.
is about 3,695
In this model of Winchester rifle, there is no difference in value between the round or octagon barrel.
Depends on who made it, accessories, condition, etc.. Could be 100-10000 USD
I highly suspect that the rifle has an octagon (8-sided) barrel. The October 7th, '79 patent date strongly points towards the rifle being a Browning or Winchester Single Shot rifle. The serial number on the barrel or the lower tang will help solve the mystery.
Condition?
50-125
yes in most cases it can be interchanged with little or no modification
Who made it, what caliber is it, is it a rifle, shotgun or hadgun, how long is the barrel, is the barrel round or octagon, what is the stock made out of, what is the serial number(if any)? I do not personally, but yes, there is a single shot rifle that can have the rifle barrel replaced with a shotgun barrel.
