You have what's called a "blank planchet" or "flan". Currently an SBA flan retails for about $35.
Thousands of coin blanks are punched at high speed out of huge rolls of metal and moved to the presses in wheeled bins, so it's not surprising that every so often one of them spills out and doesn't go through the press that strikes its design on the blank.
The 1979 near date (wide rim) is the only coin of this series with high retail values in mint state grades. It runs $8.00-$10.00 all the other coins are at most 50 cents over face.
No such coin exists, all 1978 dollars are Eisenhower dollars. Susan B Anthony dollars would not be minted until 1979.
about 2 dollars
Susan B. Anthony coins were not struck until 1979. With the date of 1924 it's a Peace Dollar and trvst is not misspelled. The designer used the Greek letter for a "U" which is a "V" and all Peace dollars have this spelling. As to value this coin is so common uncirculated coins are only $25.00-$30.00 circulated coins $13.00-$17.00
Unless it is in official mint packaging or a rare die variety/error it is only worth $1. Loose uncirculated Susan B Anthony dollars are easy to come by and there is next to no collector demand because collectors hate the design and the coin and those who want to collect it already have. The only demand is for proof or mint sets, not for loose coins.
No coin dealers sell them at face value, because then there's no profit to be made. However, dollar coins, including Eisenhower and Anthony dollars, sometimes turn up at banks, where they can be exchanged at face value.
