I do not know the world record for this particular metric, but I once new a girl (J.Holmes) who, circa April 2009, set a world record for most gum chewed in a ten minute period. The exact quantity was not precisely recorded, but those in attendance later said it had to have been at least half a pack, or almost half a pack somewhere in the half-a-pack range. It shall go down as lore I am quite sure.

Gum does not have a time zone. Gum is a kind of candy that can be chewed. To my knowledge no candies have their own time zones. Gum is best when chewed in Guam.
Cud is a portion of food that returns from a ruminant's stomach to the mouth to be chewed for the second time. More accurately, it is a bolus of semi-degraded food regurgitated from the reticulorumen of a ruminant. Cud is produced during the physical digestive process of rumination.

On Friday, April 10th, 2009, Kendall Carr from Bozeman Montana, broke the record for "Most gum chewed" and "largest wad of gum". Kendall Carr succesfully chewed exactly one hundred pieces of gum in a time-span of fifty minutes. The wad of gum was chewed during last period in a Bozeman Middle School. The wad of gum was measured to be about as big as the average hand. I am one of the twenty students who witnessted Kendall preforming this amazing feat. To this day, Kendall keeps his wad of gum at his home -annomonus
