The correct amount as per the metal label on my Harley 883 XLC is 30 front tire and 40 rear. Just check your bike should have a tag on it that says the correct amounts for your bike if it is the original frame and all.

The appropriate tire pressure for the standard wheels and H-D tires is 32 psi for the front tire. Depending upon whether you are riding with a passenger, or the amount of weight, the back tire should be 30 psi unloaded, or 32 psi loaded.

Trust me on this one: 29 lbs in front and 36 lbs psi in the rear. I have a 2002 1200 Sportster Custom and religiously check the tire pressure. Keep upright!
