Hello: Install cylinder head bolts. Tighten cylinder head bolts according to following procedure: Tighten cylinder head bolts in order shown, Can not show diagram for this. Tightening torque : 36.1 lb-ft (49N
The cylinder head torque on a 2000 Honda Civic is set at two different rates. For placing the head correctly the bolts need to be tighten to 22 ft torque. Once correctly set the bolts will need 49 ft torque to be properly tighten.
4 cylinder: Bolt 7 is on the front driver's corner. # Tighten all bolts in sequence (1 through 10) to 30 N·m (22 ft. lbs.) torque. # Tighten all bolts in sequence (1 through 10) to 61 N·m (45 ft. lbs.) torque. # Check all bolts to verify they are set to 61 N·m (45 ft. lbs.) torque. # Tighten bolts (in sequence): # Bolts 1 through 6 to 149 N·m (110 ft. lbs.) torque. * Bolt 7 to 136 N·m (100 ft. lbs.) torque. * Bolts 8 through 10 to 149 N·m (110 ft. lbs.) torque. # Check all bolts in sequence to verify the correct torque. All "V" engines: Starting at top center, tighten all cylinder head bolts, in sequence, to 68 N·m (50 ft. lbs.) torque , Repeat procedure, tighten all cylinder head bolts to 143 N·m (105 ft. lbs.) torque. Repeat procedure to confirm that all bolts are at 143 N·m (105 ft. lbs.) torque.
Torque to 20ft/lbs initially. Then tighten to 65ft.lbs. Oil head bolts before installing.
The cylinder head on a Toyota Paseo requires 33 pounds of torque on the head bolts. If the bolts are over tighten the block can warp leading to a blown head gasket.
CAUTIONTo prevent cylinder head damage, GM recommends the usage of a Remove Cylinder Head Bolt Sequence with a cold engine. For installation, always use NEW cylinder head bolts. he cylinder head bolts are tightened using an angle torque procedure, however, the bolts are not a torque-to-yield design. 6. Tighten the bolts in sequence using the following steps and torque values: Step 1: Tighten bolts 1-10, 20 N·m (15 ft. lbs.). Step 2: Tighten bolts 1-10, 47 N·m (35 ft. lbs.). Tighten bolts 11-14, 25 N·m (18 ft. lbs.). Step 3: Tighten bolts 1-10, 90 degrees. Tighten bolts 11-14, 30 N·m (22 ft. lbs.).
sequence is from the center out. torque in 3 stages. first 25 ft lbs second tighten 90 degrees [1/4] turn third tighten 90 degrees [1/4] turn. you're done.
NOTEStep 1: Tighten all bolts to 22 ft. lbs.Step 2: Tighten all bolts to 51 ft. lbs.Step 3: Loosen all bolts, in reverse torque sequence, by 180°Step 4: Loosen all bolts, in reverse torque sequence again by 180°Step 5: Tighten bolts #1 and #2, in the torque sequence, to25 ft. lbs.Step 6: Tighten bolts #3,4,5 and #6, in the torque sequence, 11 ft. lbs.Step 7: Tighten all bolts, in torque sequence, by 80-90°Step 8: Tighten all bolts, in torque sequence, again by 80-90°
firstly tighten in sequence to 20Nm all round, then tighten to 30Nm all round, then tighten 90 degrees all round, and finally tighten a further 90 degrees all round. good luck!.
