Actually the nut does not hold the rotor on. Your brake caliper does that. The nut holds the front hub on. correct and the torque setting for the front hub nut is ..284 ft pounds

Mk1 Focus Euro spec (not US), rear hub nut, the big one in the middle, 29mm socket, torque to 235Nm
The torque settings for the rear hub nut (in the Haynes manual) is 175Nm or 127lb ft.
Most vehicles are around 110 ft lbs of torque
The hub nut is 137 ft lbs......... The two lower bolts and nuts that the strut mounts to wheel assembly is 167ft lbs......... Dont over torque that hub nut you will have problems.......................
if you mean the large nut that holds the hub on, Haynes repair manual says 185 FT-LBS
