The piano is a musical instrument that is classified under the strings category. The other possible categories are woodwinds (Reed instruments) and brass (Trumpet, Trombone, tuba...) instruments. The piano is one of an instrument! It produces music like never before! The piano has 8 keys in one octave. An octave is from a low note, to the exact same note but in a higher tone. A typical piano has approximately 6 octaves. Unlike other instruments, you can play more that one note at a time, you can even play 10 notes at the same time! You can even hold notes and play other staccatto (quick and bouncy) If you need any further information, please feel free to contact me via e-mail hockey_rules84@hotmail.com I do hope that that helped you out a little bit!

I'm afraid I can't, as I don't know how to myself and in any case, musical tuition is difficult over the internet! You can learn to play the piano either by taking lessons from private tutors, by enrolling on a course at a day or evening class in college (if they provide them), or by self-tuition, which is usually done via a course-pack that will include booklets on how to read music and notation, and cassettes or CDs which will include a combination of talked instruction and musical exercises.
