It is probably an issue with worn valve seats sticking. I had an earlier model Pulsar and it had this very issue. I would drive it 50 metres up the road on a cold morning and it would just stall. It took about 5 months to find the problem.
Could be EGR valve sticking open or dirty at an idling condition or hesitates when accelerating.
This question actually refers to a Mazda "6" that stalls when in the stopped position. Sorry about the miss printed info.
want to know if my starter is going bad if
need to have your idle checked, mine did the same thing, and adjusted the idle up and it stopped the problem, the only thing is you need a tack meter don't use the dash gauge, it may not be true
It could be a vacuum leak
There's a solinoid in the transmission.Suggest to check that first. Turn on interior lights. Start engine. If the lights go out when the engine stalls, you have a bad ignition switch.
It's on the verge of vapor lock.
When a 1995 Toyota Camry stalls and cuts off while it is at a stop idling, it is likely a delivery problem. When the car acts like it is not getting enough gas, a clog or dirty filter are likely the culprit. It could also be a fuel line problem where denting from road debris has caused crimping to impede the flow of fuel to the engine.
Whenever any vehicle stalls while driving it should be seen by a mechanic soon. It can be the a issues with the computer, ignition, or fuel.
Turn on your headlights and hazard lights, call 911
My best guess is that the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve may need to be replaced.
Replace the Idle Air Control Valve only about $50. This would cause funny idling and stalling out.
