try changing fuel filtre
vacuum leak. my 95 Monte Carlo did it. once in a while it would race to 2500 rpm then settle down like normal. not easy to find , but a cheap fix.
1998 and up is 5650 Rpm
2500-3000 lbs
It only misses between 45-50 mph, I suspect the transmission is jumping in and out of overdrive.
190@ 4400 RPM
5500 RPM or 5 RPM below the banging knocking sound you just had .
110 hp @ 4800 rpm.
A plugged catalytic converter could do that.
Plugged/damaged catalytic converter.
Not without fabrication.
56 psi at 3000 RPM engine warm
I have a '98 with the 2.2l, and it is listed as having 118 hp @ 5200 RPM, and 130 lb-ft of torque @ 2800 RPM. Hope this helps!
