Well they're probabley broken or umm... the car is stopping.
Inside the trunk there is a turnable thumb screws where the brake lights are. Twist screws off and the brake light pops out.
=I don't know about the brake lights. I know that most cars, when you turn it off and get out, the head lights and main backlights stays on for a while but then goes off. The brake lights? Maybe it's the way that car is or something is wrong with the brake or you have it on wrong.=
check fluid level
there is a cover that pops out right under it ,looks like a vent kinda take that off then twist the pigtail out and there you go
Someone mounted the brake light switch on the wrong pedal?
check if the alternator belt is on it is probably after coming off
It should go on when the brake is on and off when you release the brake.
The brake is broken?
on the brake pedal there is rubber or plastic pad that when the brake is pushed in the button pops out and the brake light go on. if the rubber/plastic pad brakes there is an empty hole and the brake lights will stay on all the time. this may not be what your looking for, but good luck
you ask it to stop
you need a new brake pressure differential switch
AnswerIndicator light on dash? Check fluid level in master cylinderMake sure parking brake is fully releasedCheck Brake fluid levelI have a 1996 Tacoma 2.7L and my brake indicator light on the dash is always on. So- here's how to check what's wrong... Start truck, release parking brake, if light is on, push the parking brake handle in/towards dash, if light goes off then you have a bad spring (like my truck does) or the like on the parking brake handle. That's all. Sometimes when I drive, I push it in/light goes off and then the handle works it's way out again and the light comes back on.
