∙ 11y agoI'm sure that if this question were to be asked of an Israeli spokesperson, the answer would be, there is nothing wrong with Israel. But I do think that there is a problem. The territory of Israel has, for thousands of years, accumulated a vast amount of religious significance for 3 different religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and all 3 have been fighting about it for a very long time, with the irrational fanaticism that religious conflict usually brings. It was never really necessary for Jews to live in Israel, and there were certainly alternatives available in 1948 when the state of Israel was founded, but religious mania prevailed, even though the founders of Israel knew perfectly well that they would be facing a state of permanent conflict with their Muslim neighbors. Knowing this, they should have chosen differently. But so much has now been invested in Israel that it is virtually impossible to change course at this late date.

∙ 11y agoAccording to The Bible, there is nothing wrong with the Jewish that isn't wrong with everyone else. In fact, the Jews are God's chosen people, the people He chose to be the bringer of the Messiah. Yet like people everywhere, many of them have rejected the Savior whom God sent to them, Jesus Christ.
I think this is a question that everyone should ask of themselves instead of asking it about someone else.

After that, I hope somebody who represents the attackers will see this, and will tell us that my impression is right or wrong, and if it's wrong, tell us the real reason that they keep attacking. My impression is that the reason they keep attacking is that after more than sixty years, neither the governments nor their people can yet make their peace with the concept, and cannot accept the existence of a Jewish country in their neighborhood.
