What is wrong with a 90 LeSabre Custom 3.8L if it idles rough and stalls when going from park to drive after it overheated?

If you severely overheated the engine,the cylinder heads or intake manifold may either have warped or blown their gaskets. This creates among other things a vacuum leak which will cause the idle speed motor/solenoid to go crazy.

I had a similar problem with my Park Ave. It turned out to be the crank sensor. The cam sensor can cause the same problem. Both are needed by the computer to fire at the correct time. Have the error code checked to see if that is the problem.
