cause when you shut off the van the power to the gauges is cut off completely, so the gauges will stay wherever they were at until the next time you start the vehicle.

when you had that problem did the van start? we have the same stuff going on but ours wont start

The gauges on his old truck were still as reliable as the day he drove it off the new car lot.
this is common, i have had a few.. its normal for all the gauges to max out then return to normal but to go " crazy " ck battery ground. then if persists pull out control head and ck grds. there. still? send head to spedo. repair shop
Posible relay problem
it depends on what you mean by dings. little ones no, at least none that you can hear. it also depends on what kind of guitar, and even then acoustic it still wouldn't matter too much. holes and cracks can really mess up a guitar though watchout for those.
I have tried to start my dodge caravan 2005,but I only get a click sound like from the relay or underneath the vehicle.Also while attempting to crank the dash speedometer,gas needle and all gauges flashes and the needles goes crazy,but still want no crank no start.In furtherance,the car will sometime start after all the lights finish blinking goe out and come back on and may start,even though I put a new switch in,but still acting the same.I also receives codes PO 0032,562,and 700 even when I delete them they comes back while I still try to crank,but no start no crank situation.situation. In closing,relays were switched out and the IOD fuse is good.
