Can electrical sensors give false reading because of open thermostat?

An open thermostat would keep the engine from heating up to normal operating temperature. The sensors effected can only report what they sense. The "check engine" light may throw a code like "P0116" (engine coolant temperature circuit range/performance problem).

Why is your Ford Probe heating up?

If you mean that the motor is actually heating up and not the meter it could be the result of an broken thermostat or clogged vaterpipes. If you mean by the meter it could be a result of having to little water in the system. The meter relies from the input of 2 different sensors.

the thermostat could be stuck closed or the radiator fan is not working. check the fuse or the temp sensor, but be careul because the 94 have 2 sensors. 1 for the fan and 1 for the temp gauge.

Where are the O2 sensors on the 97 Ford Aerostar?

On my 1988, O2 sensor is threaded into side of exhaust pipe underneath near transmission. When I changed it, it was difficult to remove. I had to keep heating the exhaust pipe with a torch to get it out.

How do i test a eb falcon ute's thermistate?

Firstly remove the thermostat from its Housing Assembly, usually held down by 2 or 3 bolts depending on the model of vehicle. Boil a pot of water whilst immersing the thermostat into boiling water, you will notice the centre rod pullback in the direction of its spring, opening a larger hole within the thermostat device. If the hole is visibly opened, the thermostat is operating as required. If you are experiencing Over Heating, good idea to check the Clutch-fan is operating normally. Over heating in the EA and EB models is either one of 4 things needing attention, Clutch-fan, thermostat, Radiator and/or Head or Head gasket. Dont remove the thermostat from these models as the onboard Computer requires these for sensors to operate correctly.

94 Toyota truck with 22r 4 cylinder had the muffler changed today and they said it was running rich it seems as it is running sluggish with the accelerator half way down could it be bad injector?

Check your TPS and O2 sensors. Could be a bad thermostat. My 94 did that ,changed it and solved problem.
