Older Sears Kenmore machines, depending on condition, can be PRICELESS! I recently acquired two 1207's ......excellent condition. These machines were made between 1969 -1971........HEAVY metal, easy to operate and maintain. These machines are absolutely made to work as hard as you need them to. I use one at work, 6-7 hours per day, and one at home for 5-6 hours per day. I am a fan of older Kenmore machines and own 5 of them. All are at least 35+ years old, have been worked very hard, and still run beautifully. I routinely oil and clean them and each gets an annual check up by a professional sewing machine repair shop nearby. I have NEVER had any problems with them. I have replaced a couple of needle plates and a couple of bobbin cases.........outside of those, these machines have all their original stuff. I'm a professional seamstress, my income depends on machines I can depend on, and I would never call these machines(older Kenmore's) ''worthless''. The way machines are made today with plastic components inside and out.........I'd never buy one....they're not made to last. (Much like everything else, nowadays).
Hope I helped someone decide.

Kenmore Model 117.141 with a motor that runs and a good cabinet is worth $30.00 to me. A machine that old is bound to had some issues.

I bought my Kenmore sewing machine in 1983 from Sears for $100. I was 19 years old and I still have it and love it. Works perfect. How much is it worth today? Probably not much money wise, but sentimental. It was the first purchase my husband and I made to open our first credit card.
I think basically $O, cause no manuals no service gurantees. just pay and go, good luckconfused with itseatle
