The Berlin Wall was constructed by the Soviet Union, the Eastern Bloc, government in order to stop Immigration from the Eastern to the Western Blocs of Germany after WWII. Because the Eastern Bloc limited rights (communist), many citizens tried to flee to the Western Bloc. So, in the middle of the night on August 12, 1961 finished in the morning of the 13th, the wall was constructed.
