Catholic AnswerA Rector in the Catholic Church is the head of a religious community of men or of an educational institute, in canonical language a rector is the priest in charge of a church that is neither parochial nor capitular nor annexed to the house of a religious community for its religious functions. (fromModern Catholic Dictionary) The only two times I have been familiar with a priest that was designated a "Rector" in the Catholic Church was the priest in charge of the Cathedral parish - the Pastor is technically the Bishop, but he is not around to run its day to day operations, so a Rector is appointed who fills most of the normal functions of a pastor. The other incident with which I am familiar is a seminary, the priest in charge of the seminary is the Rector.

What is the highest ranking of a women in the Catholic Church?

The highest rank women can reach in the Catholic church are to be saints, with Mary, the mother of Jesus, being even higher than other saints..AnswerThe only "rank" in the Catholic Church belongs to the clergy, Pope, Bishops (Cardinals, ArchBishops, Bishops), priests, deacons, minor orders; then the laity, who hold no "rank". Thus women will hold no "rank" in the Catholic Church from the point of view of titles. However, if you read the job description of all of the clergy, you know that Our Blessed Lord appointed them only "to serve". From that point of view, service, then women are running neck in neck with men, but again, no rank. Remember that the Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, and only exists to be conformed to His Will. As Our Blessed Lord, Himself, pointed out, there should be no such talk among you!

I like the way Richard Fabian defines the Rolle of the Deacon and so will use his definition as mine. The role of the Deacon is to make the liturgical service go smoothly. The Deacon has a job, a big job. The Deacon vests for his/her job and i so doing share in ministry with the Rector and the Lay people.

How can a non Catholic divorced man marry a Catholic female in a Catholic church?

In general, no.This answer does a nice job of summing it up: see link below.Roman Catholic AnswerThe non Catholic divorced man would have to speak to his local Catholic priest and apply for a decree of nullity (a ruling that he was never validly married). If it is granted, then he can marry in a Catholic Church. Without such a decree, no marriage would be possible as he would be validly married already.

A Catholic job is to discern the Will of God for him and to do it; a Catholic's job is to lead a Christian life 24/7 and to get to heaven. A Catholic's job is to love the Lord his God with his whole heart, his whole soul, his whole being, and to love his neighbor as himself.

Is a monk's job to tell the Catholic Church if they are being corrupt?

While it's not a monk's specific job to police the Catholic Church for corruption, monks are called to maintain integrity and moral values within their own communities. If a monk witnesses corruption within the Church, they may choose to address it through proper channels or seek guidance from higher authorities. Ultimately, the responsibility for addressing corruption within the Catholic Church lies with its leaders and members as a whole.

Why are there so many churches in Ireland?

Ireland is an almost 100% Catholic country where the Catholic Church still wields considerable influence which has only diminished somewhat in the wake of numerous sexual-abuse scandals by Irish Catholic bishops, nuns and priests. And a country where a church aims to strongly dominate everyday beliefs and values will want a lot of local churches from where parish priests can do the job.

What are the relevances of studing Bacholar of Business Administration to the Catholic Church?

What was the Mormons job?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) have pretty much every job you can think of. (Outside of the pornography, gambling, liquor, and tobacco industries) Even members of the local church leadership are required to hold secular jobs - they are not paid for their service to the church. You can see some profiles about Mormons and learn what their jobs are at the "Related Link" below.
