Drug testing is deterimned by the individual employer. Most jobs that involve driving, money handling or construction will require a drug test.
Most employers require a drug test for employees that are hurt on the job and require medical attention.
Drug testing is a complete hassle, I have a friend in the telecommunictions field (Cellphones) and they do not test I.E. Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile etc.

∙ 9y agoAny job that is included in the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 can be DBS checked. There are very few laws that require DBS checking to take place, so whether a job 'needs' a DBS check is usually up to the employer or their regulating body.
